Who Has Seen The Wind? brings Vancouver-based, Israeli-by-way-of-New York vocalist Ayelet Rose Gottlieb together with three renowned and remarkable clarinetists/composers/improvisers. Gottlieb’s exploratory work mixes jazz, Middle-Eastern, and Jewish music with cutting-edge improv and intricate composition. “An inveterate genre-crosser” (Time Out Chicago) Seattle’s James Falzone works at the intersection of jazz, classical and world music traditions, while Brooklyn-based Michael Winograd blends art-song with traditional Klezmer. Vancouver’s François Houle is a prolific, diverse musician who incorporates electronics and astonishing extended techniques in his playing.
