Itamar’s music blends the delicateness of Middle Eastern music, the freedom found in jazz and the passion of flamenco, creating a sound all his own. Internationally renowned composer and guitarist, Itamar has shared the stage with such musicians as Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Tomatito, Avishai Cohen, Jean-Louis Matinier, Zohar Fresco, and others. Based in Vancouver since the summer of 2015, he teaches at the VSO School of Music. Itamar has released two CDs so far with the Adama Ensemble: Desert Song (2006) and Hommage (2010). Recent performances were at the Jerusalem International Jazz Festival and at the Orpheum Annex. With Francois Houle clarinet, Laurence Mollerup double bass, Liam Macdonald drums and Nick Apivor marimba & vibes.
